This is a small Patio project we undertook on the outskirts of York. New footings were dug and concrete filled to give a
good base for a small retaining wall to be built, prior to hardcore being laid, to build up the area for the patio.
We used red rustic 65mm bricks and concrete blocks on the inner leaf wall, and built steps inset as requested by the
customer to add an extra feature and keep straight lines at same time.
MOT type 2 hardcore was laid and compacted prior to laying random pattern of paving slabs on top. New manhole cover
installed too to suit level of paving. All joints were also mortared by hand, again as requested by customer.
Job completed in 7 days in July 2012.
